Rodney Yeoman

Rodney is a highly-accomplished consultant, who specialises in the fields of economics and policy research. Rodney adopts an evidence based approach, which provides his clients with a solid foundation from which they can make robust decisions.

Rodney has led over 200 consultancy projects, for major commercial and government clients throughout New Zealand, and Australia. His research has covered a diverse range of topics, across most sectors of the economy. This research has covered themes that are vital to the operation of the national economy and wellbeing of the wider community, including urban issues, infrastructure investments, economic development, transport, tourism, primary industry and environmental matters.

​A fundamental aspect of Rodney’s research approach is to apply first principles to clearly establish the full range of implications associated with a policy decision or project. He also places emphasis on applying quantitative research methods, which he utilises to provide a detailed understanding of the costs and benefits that accrue, both via the operation of economy and more widely in terms of wellbeing outcomes for the community.

Rodney has expert experience employing applied economic assessment tools to model and quantify the processes in the economy and community. He frequently develops and applies Cost Benefit Analysis, Economic Impact Analysis, Computable General Equilibrium models, general statistical methods and geospatial models.
